Early Life; Before BLU:
Before Nikolaus is a flawed man. He is highly talented and was forced to work for the Nazis during World War II. During his occupation under the Axis power, he was forced to follower orders due to them holding his child-aged half brother hostage. Night and day, they would show him how they were putting him through experiments and other questionable testings. It wasn't until a year later that he found out the project he was working on was being testing upon his own brother. This made Nikolaus break and reach out for the help of the Mann brothers in order for him to eventually break out of the lab with his brother. Wilhelm had become a walking catalyst which helped gene splicing easier, which meant that he was going to only age as he began to lose his catalyst genes. It was also learned later by accident that his wounds eventually healed up faster than those of normal human being. When Nikolaus told the Mann Brothers that with his brother's catalyst body, he can help them reach immortality, he was hired as the BLU Medic and was required to make an exact clone of himself for the RED Medic. This required Nikolaus to use his brother as a catalyst so that it was possible. The RED Medic didn't end up look exactly like Nikolaus, but there was a fraternal leveled difference.

Business Life in BLU:
He and Dell Conagher works together in order to bring immortal life for both RED and BLU Mann. It took some convincing, but Conagher agreed to team up with Nikolaus in order for them to follower a bigger plan. The bigger plan involves them building an army of hybrids so that they can overthrow BLU and RED CEOs so that they are the ones who will take over the world's biggest monopolized business.

Mercenary Life in BLU:
Nikolaus began the hybrid project and at times worked with his RED fraternal clone. When his priorities began to shift towards reverting Wilhelm's catalyst status, his RED clone disagreed. He explained it was because Wilhelm was the success of his life's work, and that reverting him would be losing everything. Nikolaus disagreed and followed through with his reverting project, which angered the RED clone. This got the RED clone to work with the RED Spy in order to /stop/ Nikolaus from succeeding. It ended with them luring Nikolaus to a map where the respawn was ineffective. They detonated a shrapnel bomb which blinded Nikolaus's right eye and critically injured his heart. The BLUs realizing that the RED has gone off their original plan (which was to bring immortality with the help of both RED and BLU) decided to publicly pronounce Nikolaus dead. When in reality, Nikolaus was taken down to his underground lab in order to recover and make more BLU fraternal clones of himself while continuing his reverting project for Wilhelm.

Life After His Noted Death:
Nikolaus is currently hidden underground, and unlike Wilhelm, he has grown out of having a German Accent. Instead he has a very slight Texan accent due to the fact that the only person he works around with is Conagher and the other hybrids. Also due to the permanent record stating that he is now deceased, he goes by the name /Klaus G. Ehrlichmann/ in order to visit the home his step mother left for him back in England. A name which she had given him during the times when she joked to say that his name sounded better as /Klaus/.
